Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I export a HAR file from my browser?
- Open DevTools (F12) and go to the Network tab, then reload the page so the requests are recorded. In Chrome and Edge, click the download arrow ("Export HAR") or right-click a request and choose "Save all as HAR with content". In Firefox, right-click a request and choose "Save All As HAR". In Safari, use the Export button in the Network tab.
- What does the Excel file contain?
- A sheet named Requests with one row per request: start time, total time, method, URL, status, MIME type, request and response sizes and send/wait/receive timings. Headers, cookies and bodies are not included, so the spreadsheet is safer to share than the HAR file.
