Frequently Asked Questions
- How do I export a HAR file from my browser?
- Open DevTools (F12) and go to the Network tab, then reload the page so the requests are recorded. In Chrome and Edge, click the download arrow ("Export HAR") or right-click a request and choose "Save all as HAR with content". In Firefox, right-click a request and choose "Save All As HAR". In Safari, use the Export button in the Network tab.
- What ends up in the Postman collection?
- One request per HAR entry, with method, URL, query parameters, headers and body. HTTP/2 pseudo-headers and headers Postman sets itself (Host, Content-Length, Connection) are left out. Cookies and authorization headers are kept as they were recorded, so remove them before sharing the collection.
